Renovation

Some furniture may need more extensive frame restoration or upholstery. We work with established upholsterers and an experienced antique restorer, Spencer Samson, in Kendal (Tel. +44 (0)1539 723483).

Seat Weaving / Chairseating Classes

Personalised tuition is available in all re-seating methods, to suit various abilities.
Bring your chair or restoration project and with our expertise, demonstration and guidance, you can restore your furniture and learn a new craft. Lessons can be booked at a time to suit you. We have workstations for one or two people to work simultaneously and seating materials (cane, rush, rope, seagrass, Danish cord etc.) are always in stock.
All classes are charged per person per hour, plus the cost of materials.

The Chair Workshop is situated on Main Street, near cafes, pubs, shops and fell-walking countryside. Why not make a weekend of it and combine your lesson with one of the many events and activities organised in the town? www.sedbergh.org.uk
